Religious heritage
Although each of our villages has a church, there are several that deserve special attention. This is the case of Seyssel Ain and Seyssel Haute-Savoie in particular.
Water transport being so important until the XIXth century, there was a large following of the Virgin Mary. She can be found in the churches of Notre-Dame du Bon Départ and Notre-Dame du Pont.
You must see the stained glass in the church of Seyssel Ain, it tells of parts of the life of Saint François de Sales.

A former convent, today the building resembles a large house with an austere façade. Currently privately owned, but you can nevertheless view the very beautiful door framed by pilasters and topped by an alcove with a Madonna in it....
